You’ve probably heard of the chicken and the egg paradox that has boggled minds since Biblical times (literally). Well, marketing a business can sometimes raise similar questions… let us explain.
Let’s say you’re a business with inventory that you currently sell through an e-commerce platform on your website. You decide you want to expand your opportunities and approach brick and mortar stores to stock your products. The exchange may go a little something like this…
You: “Hey there! I’ve got this super cool product that would look awesome in the front window of your store.”
Store Owner: “That’s great… but my mate Bill has a very similar product that I already sell. He’s a mate and he offered me a great deal if I can sell his product to customers that come in asking. Also, I haven’t ever heard of your product. I doubt my customers will ask for it. Sorry.”
You: *leave feeling lost, confused and perhaps with a lone tear rolling down your face as you hear the building crescendo of Shannon Noll’s cover of ‘What about Me’ play on your mind*
Okay, so maybe that’s not exactly how it would go. BUT more and more clients are coming to us with this very same dilemma. They want to expand but don’t have the engrained relationships with storeowners to get their products out there and, they’re at a loss. So what should they do? (Apart from continuing to build their B2B network and relationships with stores, of course). They need to create consumer demand! But how? I hear you ask…
We work with businesses just like these to pull together a killer B2C Marketing plan that will make their products a must have in the market. That way, consumers can walk straight into stores knowing and asking specifically for their product, giving consumers power and their brand some serious street cred.
After all, that’s what we’re about… giving your business street cred.
Be it social, digital, traditional or through PR, there are plenty of ways to build buzz around your brand, we can help point you in the right direction. So, back to the chicken and the egg… I still don’t know which comes first (seriously, boggles my mind) BUT in marketing, businesses can afford to do a bit of both with a bit more of B2C up front to make sure they are breaking through the noise and reaching their all important target market effectively.

When it comes to business branding, some businesses will have a really clear vision of what they want, while others are open to letting us take the reins and lead the way…either way, that’s okay!
Our 7-step design process makes sure that we use your time (and money) effectively to get the logo and business style you’re looking for. We welcome suggestions from clients, colour preferences or images that inspire you.
1. Briefing
The Vault team really values developing one-on-one relationships with our clients. Our design process begins with a face-to-face meeting with you to discuss your vision for the project, any style preferences you have in mind, your target audience and business/marketing goals. Following this meeting, we will be able to provide you with an in-depth and custom quotation for your project. It’s a casual, obligation free chat, think of it as a coffee with friends.
2. Quotation
Following our initial meeting, the team will develop a quote that incorporates each element of your project broken down by cost. We are firm believers in being transparent every step of the way, so our clients love that they can clearly see where their money is being spent.
3. Deposit
Once you are satisfied with the quotation and wish to commence, a 50% deposit for the project will fall due.
4. Commencement of project
During the initial commencement stage of the project, the Vault team will work with you to identify your competitors, market leaders and brand styles that have caught your eye. This style preference process will allow us to gain insight into the types of brands that resonate with you and what you want to achieve in your business branding. From here, we will put together mood board concepts and develop style options that we feel are best suited to your business.
5. Conceptual Phase
This is where it starts getting exciting! You have selected your favourite mood board and now, we’re ready to get to work. The conceptual phase brings everything together that we have learned about your business so far, to start creating your business branding. We will develop design concepts for you to choose from (quantity depends on original quotation).
6. Revision
So, you have seen the design concepts, you like one but want to add a bit of this and a bit of that… that’s ok! Our revision period allows you to select elements of each logo concept to combine, change or adapt depending on what you like best! Or, you might be sold on one concept and require no revisions at all!
7. Final Artwork and Handover
Once you have approved your final logo design, you will be presented with high resolution, print ready versions of your logo in various formats through Dropbox.
Please note: Working files for our designs will not be provided to clients, under any circumstances. Sorry, that sounds sinister… let us explain.
So that’s it! See, we promised it would be easy! You are now ready to take your business to the world and conquer. Of course, you aren’t alone. The Vault team can be with you every step of the way, from concept to marketing to long term consulting and advice. Just reach out, whenever you need.
